She went on to be hired by Stephen Pelton Dance Theatre, PPARDance, Charles Moulton and La Femme Panache in San Francisco. In 2006 Emily’s passion for movement led her to Los Angeles where she became a Sensei of the martial and yogic art form Budokon, and had celebrity clients as head fitness trainer for Tracy Anderson Studios. Emily moved to Ashland, OR and joined DPC in 2007.

Sarah Goldberg began dancing at the young age of 3 in Bend, OR where she was born and raised. She began her training in Modern and Ballet techniques at Terpsichorean Dance Studio and the Central Oregon School of Ballet. She attended the Young Musicians and Artists Summer Program for three summers where she added Jazz and West African to her repertoire. In high school she was co-founder, captain, and choreographer for the Summit High School Ballet club. She attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN where she majored in Dance Performance and Choreography. It was during her four years there that Sarah was able to attend the American Dance Festival where she danced with Doug Nielson, David Dorfman, and Abby Yager and Keith Thompson of the Trisha Brown Company. During her college education she got to dance in Historical reconstructions of works by Dr. Pearl Primus and Anna Sokolow. It was also at St. Olaf that Sarah met Robin Stiehm and began her journey to Dancing People Company. Sarah is thrilled to be with the company in her first season.

Veronica DeWitt began her dance training in 2003 as a freshman at the University of Oregon, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Dance with a minor in Business Administration. Growing up in Sixes, OR (a small town on the Southern Oregon coast) provided limited dance opportunities, although she was able to be a part of a Celtic step dancing group and practice her “moves” in the family living room. She is motivated to continue performing, especially if it involves traveling, and also educating the general public about the history and artistry of modern dance.
